Evaluation of Cultural intelligence in teacher education social studies curriculum

Abstract

This study assessed the cultural intelligence in social studies curriculum. The study population consisted of all students and university professors in the field of social studies as well as all the books in this series. Sample included 110 students (29 girls and 81 boys) and 11 university professors of social studies in the Fars province and 8 books specialized in this field.
Cultural Intelligence Scale for evaluation of professors and students of Early and Ang (2003) was used. The textbooks were analyzed with quantitative content analysis. alpha coefficient for determining the reliability of scale was .82 .
The results of this study are as follows:
A. no significant difference between the students and professors at the Cultural Intelligence.
B. the interaction of gender and school years have a significant effect on the cultural intelligence factors
C. the highest frequency component of cultural intelligence in social change, social pathology, social communication principles and theories of sociology.
