Abstract

The present study aimed to design an interactive learning model for student-teachers at the University of Teacher Education in Fars Province. This research is a sequential exploratory mixed-methods study, conducted in two phases: qualitative and quantitative. In the qualitative phase, using interpretive research methods and thematic analysis, the dimensions and components of the interactive learning model were identified. The participants in this phase consisted of 15 experts in the field of educational sciences, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews. After analyzing the qualitative data, six dimensions and 20 main components were extracted. In the tool development phase, a questionnaire was designed to assess the proposed model. In the quantitative phase, the proposed model was tested on a sample of 478 student-teachers at Farhangian University in Fars Province, selected through cluster random sampling.. The data analysis results, using appropriate statistical methods, confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed model in the interactive learning process. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed through content validity and factor analysis. The findings showed that the interactive learning model includes six main themes: (1) quality of education, (2) classroom characteristics, (3) technology and equipment, (4) interactive execution process, (5) individual characteristics of students and instructors, and (6) academic transformations. Each of these themes includes a set of factors and key components that directly influence the effectiveness of the interactive learning process. Furthermore, the results indicated that the use of modern educational technologies, effective interactions between student-teachers and instructors, and the design of educational programs based on the real needs of student-teachers are essential components of the success of this model. The model fit tests demonstrated an appropriate fit for the research model. Based on the research findings, suggestions for improving the educational processes at the University of Teacher Education have been provided, which can serve as a guide for the development of interactive learning in other educational institutions. This study serves as both a theoretical and practical framework for designing and implementing interactive learning models in educational systems across the country.
