Developing and Validating of Passive Defense Education Curriculum Framework for the Secondary Schooling System of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Education

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was developing and validating of passive defense education curriculum framework for the secondary schooling system of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ministry of education. This research benefitted from an instrument-development, sequential exploratory mixed method and done in qualititative and quantitative stages. Qualitative case study used in the qualititative stage and descriptive method in the quantitative stage. In qualititative stage, participants were experts and in quantitative stage, the statistical population consisted of Shiraz passive defense techers. Experts were interviewed by snowball and saturation sampling teqniques. Passive defense education curriculum framework is developed regarding subject, content, role of educator, role of students, educational methods, evaluation, educational instruments, educational location and time. The validity and reliability of the framwork were also attested.
